Life
This is not your standard bio. Now if you are reading this for the "normal" bio details, allow me to give you a brief synopsis: marines, college, human service jobs, marriage, divorce, no kids(I raise other people's kids re: human services), 4 major relocations. All those things we could not wait to experience. Having said that....It has been nearly 30 years since I left Circleville. What a trip it has been! In three more years I will have experienced a half-century of living and I can honestly say I have experienced and I have lived!! With any luck I still have some things yet undone that will further my living experience. I have spent my life to this point without regret. I am at peace with life as it is and has been and each day brings new challenges. I am not a religious sort so don't stop reading because you think I am about to sermonize. I just do not dwell on the negatives I encounter because I see no reason to expend the energy. I am not perfect and I do not ever expect to be. Life has afforded me many opportunities from day one. I remember many things from growing up in Circleville and I have many memories that come to me. Thanks to each of you that have touched my life. f seeking new experiences and working my way toward adulthood. Have not found it yet or should I say it has not found me? Think about all we had planned for the future on that day in May 1976. All the things we thought we knew and all the things we had yet to learn. We had the world in our pocket. Not a bad feeling.... We were ready to take on all comers, all challenges. You may be asking what my point is with all this. Just this, I want you to remember and maybe think. Remember someone you may not have thought of in some time. Perhaps a teacher, classmate, teammate, or just someone you passed in the halls somewhere during you educational journey. Mr. Poling, Mr. Lust, Mr. Higgins, Mr. Halley, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Turner, Mrs. Scranton, Mrs. Starkey, Mr. Dunkle, Mrs. Burmaster; Beth Taylor from my English class, Susan Simison and Gail Morrison ("Everyday People"), Bill Mogan, Sam Webb, Larry Ison, John "Sonny" Russell; where are they now? You see, to me a biography is not all about me. It is about all those people that have made me, me. I wish I had the memory to name them all. Each person I have contact with leaves something with me. They offer an opportunity to learn and that is a major part of living. Learning did not stop in May 1976. In many ways it was born that day.
